Just returned from our Christmas stay, Christmas eve to boxing day at the Manor. Absolutely fantastic from start to finish. The rooms were very well equipped, fresh milk provided at reception just one of the little extra thoughtful touches, and clean. The complimentary tea, coffee and biscuits were well stocked and we had an extra Christmas gift of mince pies, ooh and dog treats. The food was gorgeous, from the fantastic breakfast, evening meal on Xmas eve and of course the fabulous Xmas dinner. Nothing was too much trouble for the waiting/bar staff, extremely friendly, courteous and helpful. Ooh and the drinks weren't too bad either The staff's genuine warmth and helpfulness made our experience truly memorable. And last but not least, the reception team (including Roger) and the Management. Special mention to Jess for her outstanding service, lovely warm friendly manner, professionalism and courteous manner and she goes above and beyond to ensure everyone is happy. Thank you for fostering such a positive environment. The dedication of your staff reflects wonderfully on your managements leadership and attention to detail creating a welcoming atmosphere. We will definitely be returning. Thank you love June, Jerome, Georgia, Luke, Harper and Bruno.

Four of us stayed Friday night 12th till Sunday 14th Dec. last weekend. We had a wonderful time at this lovely Inn. Gorgeous setting, marvellous buildings, fabulous food and the staff went above and beyond to ensure we had a great stay. Rooms facing the village green part of original Inn, very olde worlde and we loved them. The food was absolutely gorgeous, great menu and breakfast to die for. Lovely atmosphere, nice local festive bar, great selection of wine and drinks. Will definitely stay again and thoroughly recommended. Thanks again to all the staff who worked so hard to make our stay memorable.

This was the perfect place to get cosy after a winter walk today, with roaring fire, attentive staff and very dog friendly. There were 2 of us plus our 2 spaniels. Our 3 course meals were gorgeous. A big thank you to Gavin the chef. My nut roast dinner was exceptionally good. The bread and butter pudding was utterly delicious. Everything was hot and service really quick despite a busy lunchtime. Thanks to Adele for looking after us. We need to do another walk from Burnsall...if only to end up here!!

Absolutely wonderful room, so cosy and warm! The building itself is incredible, so much history in a proper Dales location. Atmosphere of both the pub and B&B very welcoming and homely. Room & bathroom so clean, with White Company products, little bit of luxury! We had dinner here also, the Korean Pheasant bites & Sticky Toffee Pudding were up there with the best we've eaten! Incredible!

Gorgeous hotel and accommodation. The building is incredible and tardis like! Absolutely gorgeous 3 course meal and breakfast was outstanding. Our only criticism would be giving a tip and also charged service charge, maybe this could’ve been highlighted? Lovely stay regardless. Credit to the young expectant lady, she was non stop looking after clients

We've just had a fantastic family weekend away at The Red Lion, whilst attending a local wedding. Everything was perfect! The dinner in the evening, the breakfasts freshly cooked were both delicious, and the staff really were great! Very friendly and helpful wherever they worked. Rooms were of the highest quality and lovely White Company soaps and shampo. Thank you Red Lion team!

What can I say apart from amazing! I stayed for one night for business, I was welcomed with a very warm greeting on a rainy and dark night. My room was plenty big enough and very quirky, I love it. Nice bathroom with great shower. The food was beautiful and so tasty and filling, which was made all the better bu the gorgeous setting in a stunning old building with a roaring log burner - fantastic. I had a good nights sleep and the amenities in the room were great, the touch of home made biscuits and mugs for you brew great touch. Can't wait to be up that way again so I can do it all over again
